The formula that establishes the Incap Score for each caliber/round has been refined since the videos on the “Handgun Performance” page were made. The new formula provides a truly configuration-neutral result (i.e., provides an answer that is midway between the best round and the worst round for each caliber). The chart below shows the new formula and the very modest difference it made in the results.
Both the online calculator and the Excel downloadable calculator use the new formula.
